About me

BIO

Hi, my name is Agata Plank. I’m a watercolour illustrator specializing in vibrant and colourful art. I’m an alumnus of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. I have a master’s in graphic design and lithography (an absolutely brilliant technique). I currently live and work in the Netherlands. I have my small business here where I sell my art and skills.

My art career now is focused on watercolour, dynamic artwork and quirky, whimsical illustrations. A lot of cute animated food and silly characters. My art is colourful, original and eye-catching. And most important it is JOYFUL. I aim to put as much good vibes and joy into my work as I can. I hope, dear observer, that here, today, browsing through my website, you found some of your favourites and that when you leave you’re gonna leave with a smile on your face.

WHAT I WANT TO WORK ON

Food illustration, I love to draw food, in a funny and cute way.
Snakes, pigs and snails. All projects with those animals are a YES.
Children’s Books, all books for which I can freely use my style are for consideration.
Editorial illustration – especially for food magazines, and cookbooks.
Exhibitions – galleries that are interested in showcasing illustration, solo or group one.

ART FESTIVALS AND FAIRS

In 2019 I started my adventure as an artist exhibiting at art festivals. Slow first steps and shy beginnings grew and bloomed into a permanent feature in my career. I love showcasing my art during events. When I am there, working hard but also experiencing firsthand reactions to my artworks. Each year I go to at least a couple of conventions.

This year’s agenda:

2-4 May – AnimeCon in Rijswijk
18 May – Swan Market in Gouda
20-22 June – DutchComicCon in Utrecht

ORIGINAL ART

I’m a traditional artist. I work with paper, paint, ink, and coloured pencils. I absolutely love it! Especially now when AI crap is rocking the boat.
Each month I add some new original artwork to buy. You can find it on my Etsy and Instagram. If you found an art print that you like and are interested in buying an original, ask me. I may still have it.

SHOP

I have an Etsy shop, where you can find most of my available art. You can find there: original artwork, art prints, cards, stickers, bookmarks, and tote bags. It’s basically what I sell at art conventions. Go to Etsy.

At my spoonflower, you can find my surface design patterns. Go to Spoonflower.

Sometimes I have an appearance in a local (Netherlands) physical shop. I will inform you about it here and on my Instagram.

INSTAGRAM

My Information Board. Instagram was the first place I started to post my art. I used it as mobilization and a pretext to practice all these things I wanted to excel at. All these old, sweet, quirky drawings are still there. If you scroll long enough you will be treated with some amazing art. Not bad art, art is never bad. Now, Instagram has changed as much as my art. I still post, not so regularly, but you can find there my newest art. Shop updates. Process videos. Behind the scenes. Experiments. I treat it as an information board. If something changes, Instagram knows first πŸ˜‰
